Active Radar Target Enhancer Sea Me

The Sea-Me gives a constant radar echo to be seen even in areas with very much traffic.

In standby mode the Sea-Me waits for a radar signal. If an impuls is received it "wakes up" and transmits it back amplified. If no more signals are received, it switches back to standby mode.

Working range:
it depends on two factors:
- the transmitting power in both directions
- the level of the radarantenna an the Sea-Me (intervisibility)
The maximum range of the Sea-Me is up to 12 nautical miles.

Installation:
The Sea-Me comes complete with controll unit and 18m 2-wire cable. We recommend an antennamount and a deck feed through (approx. 5mm cable diameter).
The recommended position for the best function is the highest point on board like the mast of a sailing boat or the antenna platform on a motor boat. If you mount it on a lower place it even works well, but does not reach the maximum range.
