Fugawi works with the favourite NV Arnis nav. charts CD. Fugawi can read BSB, BSB4 and Maptech-PCX-charts: East of Sweden, German Baltic Sea, West of Sweden, Norway, North Sea, Great Britain-Ireland, Spain, Italy, Croata, Greece, Turkey, Carribean

Also various maps of Europe, Africa and USA (see below). 

Now in the up to date version Global Navigator 4.x

- All Maptech charts are supported (BSB, BSB4 and PCX).
- The new functions enable a zooming of all maps, as well as an exchange of data with different scales. 
- A significant development you´ll find in administration, archiving and creation of routes, waypoints and tracks. 
- Besides an easy to handle and powerful data base, interesting interpretation- and export possibilities are available. 
- Routes and tracks can be created manually, a drawing surface is integrated; pictures, graphics and photos can be assigned to all waypoints. 
- The new designed surface to calibrate self-scanned charts enables a professional operation. 
- Almost all current chart projections and grids are supported, in many cases even as 7 parameter transformations. So an accurracy is reached, not known with any other GPS program. 
-Coordinates can be displayed irrespective of the chart projection in a user selectable coordinate system. The coordinate systems can also be displayed on the charts and can be printed.
- With the included geographical data base worldwide about 7 million places can be discovered when you enter the name or the geographic description 
- "wave" data sounds are also possible.

Fugawi is compatible
The new FUGAWI 3 is downward compatible, that means, all  Fugawi 2 data can still be used.

Simple map scanning
Uses charts, wich exist as raster data, e.g. scanned charts, TIF, BMP, PCS, GIF, and JPG data even from drawing programs or other sources. 

Distortion free scanning
High geometrical accuracy, because distortions (from scanning etc.) can be corrected automatically.

Connection
Further nav. aids, e.g. Autopilot, Radar, Loran etc. can easily be connected.

Printing
Intelligent functions to print routes, waypoints and course recording.

Map data
More than 100 map data. They can be extended by user defined map data. Gauß-Krüger, UTM, Swiss grid and many other grids and chart projections. For sure, even WGS 84 can be entered.

Course recording
Current position and course recording are displayed.

Nav functions
Extensive nav. functions, waypoint- and route planning. Distance, course and bearing (magnetic or geographic)are shown continuously in  connection with a GPS receiver. There are additional options to display the inclination, odometer etc.

You are able to set up routes and waypoints on the PC just by a mouseclick and transfer them to your Garmin, Magellan, MLR or Eagle GPS receiver.

Download < GPS
When a GPS instrument is connected to the NMEA 0183 Output, the current position can be displayed in the chart. (e.g. GPS-Mouse, Garmin, Magellan, MLR, Eagle, Furuno, Leica ...)
Waypoints, routes and tracks can be easily transferred from the Garmin / Magellan GPS to your PC and are available for mapping, data storage and documentation, even in other programs, like Word.

You are able to download a section from the BSB-Map of Germany (3,3 MB).

Now even a german Fugawi Demo version (ca. 5,2 MB) is available.
