GPS 72

A visible improvement is the display with a higher resolution than before(120x160 pixels and a four level greyscale in comparison to the GPS 12  which has only 64 x 100 pixels).

GPS 72 not only is waterproof, but also floatable; it has all important acoustic alarm functiones, e.g. MOB, anchor, proximity alarm.

Many new functions enormously enlarge the user`s possibilities.

It operates 16 hours with only two Mignon - batteries. 
There are connections for an external active antenna and power supply.

It lacks an external antenna connection.Also the display resolution is not as high as with the GPS 76.

 Functions:
- Built-in Trip-Computer with odometer, stopwatch function, average data, times and speeds.

- Saves 500 waypoints and 50 routes with up to 50 Waypoints each.

- Alarm functions: cross track error, proximity waypoint, arrival, anchor drag, depths, shallows.

- The innovative TracBack- function automatically records the waypoints to retrace the path of travel to the starting point safe and fast.

- 1 MByte memory capacity for Points of Interest (POIs) 

- Saves 10 Tracks
