It is just the right instrument for marine as well as mountains.The advantages of the marine handheld instrument GPSmap 76, with 24 Mbyte memory capacity indeed, are combined with the advantages of the eTrex Summit, which are the electronic compass and the barometric altimeter. GPSMAP 76S Europe is not only waterproof, but also floatable; it has all important acoustic alarm functiones, e.g. MOB, anchor, proximity. Many new functiones enormously enlarge the user`s possibilities. There is an inbuilt data memory of 24 MByte charts - e.g. Garmins MetroGuide DVD.
