Navigation data e.g. of the GPS can be entered
into the program. They have to appear in the NMEA 0183 format, versions
1.5, 2.1 or 2.3 . Other versions do usually work also. So a real
time display of the position on the nautical chart is possible for all
GPS instruments with an NMEA Interface.
The charts can be adapted to the various light
conditions.
At night you can switch to a darkened/ glare free display, so your
eyes don´t have to adapt between viewing outside and on the nautical
chart.
