Senator series

Ships clocks in the Senator line combine traditionand elegance. They are built for aficionados of maritime classics. Wempe Chronometerwerke offers a mechanical ships bell clock inside a heavy, hand-molded, solidbrass case. The dial is available with either Arabic or Roman numerals. The clock chimes according to the well known ships bell system, which for centuries has announced the change of the four-hour watches aboard seagoing vessels. A complex mechanism inside the clock produces the pleasing sound of the bell. 

In the days when exclusively sailing ships drove along the world-seas, the first mechanical glass-clock originated. Nowadays friends of maritime clocks are still enthusiastic about their sound.
